Ingredients for 10 units

 

  • 35 oz flour.
  • 0,615 pints lukewarm water.
  • 1 oz bakery yeast.
  • 8,8 oz sugar.
  • 10 oz lard.
  • 4 eggs.

 

Elaboration

  • First you have to mix the lukewarm water, yeast and sugar.
  • Then add the whipped eggs and the sifted flour to knead.
  • Cover the dough and let ferment during 45 minutes.
  • Them make individual portions of 3,5 oz.
  • Next smear the table with lard and stretch the dough and smear it again with abundant lard.
  • Coil it into a spiral form.
  • Leave it to ferment approximately for 10 hours.
  • Finally bake it in the oven at 350º F for about 30 minutes. Leave it to cool and dust with glass sugar.
