Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cup of oil.
  • 1 ¼ cup of orange juice.
  • 7 oz of sugar.
  • 7 of lard,
  • 3 egg yolk.
  • 35 oz of flour.

 

Elaboration

  • Make a volcano with the flour.
  • Put in it  the orange juice, oil, egg yolks, sugar and lard.
  • Mix all the liquid ingredients gradually with the flour.
  • Knead until you have a homogeneous dough.
  • Let it rest for about half an hour.
  • Stretch the dough and cut it into ovals.
  • Put the filling that you prefer (jam, cottage cheese, etc) in the center of the oval.
  • Close it and put it in a baking tray and bake it at 365 ºF until it’s golden brown.
  • Let it cool and enjoy.
